Having sledge pullers collect stone from distant storage yards can be a quick way of collecting them, but if the SY's are far from each other and almost empty the pullers will all go to one SY, find it empty because others beat them to it, then walk to the next, etcetera. The order in which the sled pullers visit the SY's is not which one is closest, but which one is built earlier. That seems to be in contradiction with Desmondius result, where the old production facility is ignored in favour of the new one, but it is what I observed in my tests of optimal pyramid construction. I have had pullers walk clear past a quite full SY heading to one at the other side of the map, just to find it emptied by the time they got there. Hence my conclusion was, first build a getting SY (or more if needed) close to the monument site first, than build accepting SY's at the maximum distance from the production facilities that allow delivery men to return before production reaches 100%. Make sure the getting SY's always contain at least 4 blocks, so the pullers will go there. You can set all but one of the SY's close to the monument to empty to achieve this. I haven't tried a Brugle SY filled with straw near the monument, that should work too.
