yes as i understnd the game to work you need a storage yard to import foodstufs...the cool thing is tho bazar traders will buy from them so there is no need for the grainery for that given food...this is how the game works as a whole..

To Brugle,
Sir, yes, Sir. I am doing precisely this.
In Hetep, a limit to housing level may be fish availability. Fish is also imported from one sole city that also delivers useful other goods. I have set a Storage Yard (SY) in the central part of the map, close to the other SYs relying on trade. Then remote granaries have to fetch the fish. Why granaries and not SYs to go and get the fish, since result would be the same? To save space, manpower, and trips from the bazaars.
I would add that all my granaries live now on 2 goods at most, one passive (accept 3/4 Cereals, locally produced), one active (fill 1/4 Fish, imported and scarce). I do this because, supposing the granary also has the option fill 1/4 Fish) the cart pushers (CP) may be stuck along the Fish empty SY while imported Meat is getting available in another SY.
Why too 3/4 and 1/4? This is logical but I do not feel so confident about it (perhaps 3/4 and get maximum would be better): I have also been working for the past month on Brugle's theory about the 2 CP per SY or granary.
Have you been through, Brugle?

Hi, Brugle, Sorry for not-that-clear question Brugle: was meaning I am also trying to get an exhaustive rule knowledge about the 2 or not 2 cart pushers per SY. Still not convinced by my own conclusions.
