I have read that it is possible to irrigate floodplain farms. I never used to do this, and I haven't tried yet, as I'm not on a level with floodplain farms (I'm on the last one of the Old Kingdom, both of which are oases). However, I would be interested to know what effect irrigating floodplain farms has.
In general, I noticed those closest to the Nile get a better innundation (duh) than those closer to the land. As such, these usually have a rating of well over 90%. How would irrigating alter this situation, if at all?
Furthermore, if all floodplain farms were irrigated, could they then all rise to over 90%?
Would this make Osiris more or less redundant? Aside from not incurring his wrath, would there be any point in gaining his favour? If all farms were extremely fertile, the innundation would almost be irrelevant. As for his "harvest double" blessing, I try not to rely on that (for obvious reasons), and when it does happen, it's often more of a nuisance than anything, as I suddenly find myself with a lot more food than I can store).
Any comments on all this?
