Can someone enlighten me on how my personal funds are supposed to transfer between cities? I have over 15k deben in the coffers in S. Dashur but it doesn't carry over to N. Dashur. Is there a trick to this?

Thanks, Gypsie

Gypsie,
that one's strange. Your personal savings should carry over from town to town automatically, except if you reach a new era. This is not the case between the Dashurs.
Could you give some information about your installation? I remember people reporting this problem after they installed Cleo. So maybe someone of them has any help for you.

Sorry,

Yes, I did install Cleo already. (Making boo-boo faces!) What do I do now?

In Cleo, your Personal Funds only transfer over in certain scenarios. Kinda blows my get outta debt quick strategy. *sniff*

Hello all,
Well Gypsie, I'm bussy with the same scenarios for the moment, and this weekend I installed Cleo! I think I started N Dahshur after I installed Cleo, and... my personal savings were there. But the problem here is that I already was transferred to N Dahshur from the S Dahshur before installation, maybe it makes a difference. As a matter of fact I don't remember very good when I transferred from S to N Dahshur and when I installed Cleo (it was both in this weekend ). Wel I don't know if On is in a different era then N Dahshur, but surely my personal savings didn't transfer to On. A big shame, because I surely could use my personal savings.
Well, now that I'm thinking... it might be that I was already in N Dahshur, so don't know for that, but I'm sure my savings didn't transfer from N Dahshur to On.
Well, I don't think I made it more clear to you, sorry!

This definately sounds like another Cleo bug to me. Is anyone counting? And since it negates personal savings in the campaign, it definately needs fixed.

Ok, I have deleted and reinstalled Pharoah, (keeping my old saves, so that may negate the whole situation). I did not reinstall Cleo and still am not transferring funds to N. Dashur. I will save the tears until I find no hero.

If you're using a SDahshur save from your Cleo installation, the don't transfer flag is probably already set in your save file. Sort of the reverse of the Hept problem with the zoos.

With Cleo, you definately don't seem to transfer funds for any of the original scenarios. I've been replaying from scratch and haven't noticed funds transferring at all yet. :-(

Ok, can anyone tell me, if I redo S. Dashur (the only other game saved under Cleo) will I get rid of the Cleo curse on funds? From everything I have read, I will really need these additional funds in N. Dashur. I am notorious for running out of money anyway, and need all the help I can get.

Thanks, Gypsie

I can't believe I am even considering this!!!

I think so, but I haven't actually tried it. You can make it through N Dahshur without additional fund help if you're careful and make sure to export lots of beer. You can actually export more been in N Dahshur than in S Dahshur, which is good since you have to import copper. Just make sure you overproduce barley because there's a string of really bad floods a few years in.

Just one remark Robkid & also Gypsie,
I didn't need to import copper (in NDahshur)! Normally, you can defeat the bedouins or whatever with a couple of forts with archers (two at least) and with some help of Seth and some policemen (I had a little village for quarries in north/west and a lot of policemen there, because the invaders are coming from that side). I also created an infantryfort, but just because I was given/presented something like 1200 copper when I did some requests for an other city (don't remember witch, sorry).
I played on normal level.
Hope this helps a 'tiny' bit!
