I am having big problems with falling Kingdom Rating.
Then, when I check my Overseer of Ratings, I get a message that says "The way you responded to certain events, etc, etc"
However, whenever I have received a request, I have fulfilled it quickly. Also, on this point, in previous cities, failing to fulfil a request led to a one off drop in this rating. This seems to be a periodic problem, however.
Moreover, I have won every battle against the Kushites. I also pay my tribute every year (in fact, I have so much money, I don't know what to do with it).
I send a gift to Pharaoh every year, and make sure I only do it once a year, as suggested.
For a while, blessings from Ra were keeping my Kingdom Rating relatively stable (but not increasing it).
For the life of me, I can't work out why my Kingdom Rating continues to fall.
Is this part of the storyline (because eventually, I get a message saying an army from Pharaoh will arrive in nine months)? Do I have to fight Pharaoh?
If not, then what can I do to increase my Kingdom Rating? I have an idea that it may be somehow tied in with blessings from Ra, since fulfilling requests seems to do little (the last request I fulfilled was answered by a gift of meat from Pharaoh, then immediately followed by a decline in Kingdom Rating).
Is there an exact way to obtain the blessing from Ra that raises the Kingdom Rating? I seem to get the ones that inspire the trading partners to trade more, or that allow goods to be sold at the increased price. I have experimented with different numbers of temples and shrines, as well as holding different festivals, at different intervals, both to Ra, and to Bast.
This city seems quite bizarre to me. To all intents and purposes, it should be a very easy city, and I am having no problems fulfilling any of the other criteria needed to succeed.
One last thing that may be important- I am playing on Normal difficulty.
Any help would be much appreciated. If not, I will be trying On instead.
