Okay, I'm sorry, I forgot about thisone.
I have a SY FULL of clay, pottery makers are close by, and full employed.... WHY won't they take the clay there? I already put it as "empty" and NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!
BTW...still waiting for plain stone to arrive....

Hi Medusa. Putting your SY to empty won't help. The SY workers will try to take the clay to other SYs. What else do you have in the SY? It's the SY workers who will take the clay to the potters. If they are out delivering or collecting other stuff, they're not there for the clay. It's best to have a SY that's just for one commodity (or 2 if only one involves the SY workers).

Only if you are importing clay should you have a SY accepting it. Let the cartpushers from the claypit take it directly to the potter. When I first start pottery I put in two claypits and one potter. As soon as the first cart-pusher is standing there with nowhere to go I put in another potter. I keep repeating until I have 2 potters for each claypit. Ultimately one claypit will supply two potters well, but it takes a little bit to get production up and running, so I start it that way.

Hi Regina,
In Pharaoh, 3 clay pits will supply 4 potters (that are running at full efficiency) with just a tad (hardly enough to dirty a cart) left over. (Your numbers are correct for Caesar III, however.)
