I flew right through Timna and I was feeling pretty damn proud of myself. Being a peaceful young woman, I chose to try Abydos next. I laid the groundwork for my city, and then waited for my immigrants to head on over. After I had a population of about 50, I went to check with my overseers, so that I could move some labor around. Imagine my surprise when I was told that none of my overseers were available on this mission!
Did I miss something in the game where I was notified of this little quirk? What possible reason is there for all of my overseers to just be gone, and then to VERY SLOWLY become available (as a matter of fact, I'm told that my overseer of granaries can now be accessed, but I'm guessing he's on vacation at the moment, because he sure as heck isn't taking my calls).
So, is this normal? Am I over-reacting? And if this is what's supposed to happen, I'd like some reasoning for it, just to appease my curiosity. My freaking houses keep burning down because I can't move any of my labor over to infrastructure, and while at first I chuckled over it, I'm not finding it quite so funny any more.
Any insight would be most appreciated. =)
