This seems to be better than what is expected on the walkthrough but not even close to what our resident experts managed [20 years!].
however, a couple of places i've seen it mentioned that pottery is demanded by pharaoh- now i got demands for wood, luxuries, gemstones, and game meat and in return got lime stone and grain[did wonder why grain was included in my goods list] but never anything for pottery- which is just as well as i didn't have a potter.
the level i found extremly tough to start out with- it took me 3 attempts before i figured out how to optimise my luxury goods exports and then pay for all that limestone. after that though, it was pretty straight forward. any one else notice that the last invasion by the libyans was on the far shore of the nile- where i hadn't built anything; so a pretty pointless invasion.

one question- my monument advisor told me that the sphinx would require plain stone- but of course you don't. any one else noticed that?
also, did any one get chariots at some point in the scenario? they were also on the goods list but not importable or manufactuarble
