Well, I just got through with Thinis and I wanted to thank everyone that gave me advice when I had trouble with it.

I think my main problem stemmed from the way I spread the city out. When I began the next scenario (Menatkhufu)I started the same mistake. After a few game years I could see how having the farms and storage yards on different islands was going to be a problem.

I just have two questions: Is Ptah really pissed at Thinis? Of all the gods he was the hardest to please during the whole thing. I had to pretty much kiss his *** during the whole thing or he'd burn a few storage yards. Ra and Osiris weren't as hard to please. (Especially Osiris. He was downright super friendly)

My troops had an experience level of "Masters" after kicking some nubian booty a few times. Is that as high as they can get? What are the experience levels?

Well, thanks all! I can't wait to try my hand at Menatkhufu now!

Hi WilsonRa,
I haven't played Thinis but there isn't any reason why a god should be difficult to please as opposed to another one if you follow these rules: double the number of temples/shrines for your patron god and provide equal number for the other gods (no favouritism!). For a minor god, build a temple or two shrines per 750 people. You are expected to build the temple complex to your patron god after a few game years. Alternate festivals in between all gods and ther should be no problem at all. It must be that Ptah is the patron god of Thinis and he needs double the amount of attention than the other gods.

A small tip about Menat Khufu. It's easier to have a compact city but not necessary. Just build a road connecting all of your food farms (even if they are spreaded on both sides of the Nile). Next to most of your housing blocks, put down a SY accepting half pomegranates and half figs and a granary with get half pomegranates and get half figs setting. That way after each harvest every cartpusher will leave the foodplain heading for a SY and the granaries will be refuelled in no time without any micromanagement. Just overproduced food a bit to make sure every part of your city is having food. You need to overproduce food anyway because of the requests.

WilsonRa: There are two experience levels above "masters". They are "elite" and "the best".

Thats right, elite and "the best" are the next levels.

Charioteers at "the best" level kick serious butt!
