I've been playing Pharoah and reading this forum for a couple of months now, but this is my first post. Pharoah is a great game and this forum is the best.
I've been playing Itjtawy for a number of game years, and I can tell that although I won't go broke, it doesn't look like I'm going to be rolling in dbs, either. I've been living off the tax from my housing so far, and more or less breaking even, though I haven't even touched the reed fields yet. But this has been one of my favorite scenarios, I enjoy cultivating the maxumum out of my food sources, and according to my overseer of graneries, I can support over 25,000 souls. (Tell that to my empty granaries). My plan is to stay in Itjtawy until I cover each inch of real estate, since I supposedly have the food to do so.
A few questions:
I know I can prolong the scenario by withholding burial provisions, but does it continue indefinitely (trading partners and random events)?
Is it a bad mistake to place the foundations for more than one monument at a time? Its difficult to expand the city without knowing exactly where the pyramids are going to be eventually. But I guess that could confuse the peasants, huh?
In Itjtawy, I am now the Pharoah. Does that mean anything special? I notice the other cities are bugging me for handouts just as much as ever, but I don't get to demand anything from any of my "subjects". Plus I think I noticed on the financial statement that I'm still paying tribute! (I could be wrong on that one, I'm logged out of the game now). What kind of Pharoah am I?
Thanks
