I'm not an expert at this game, but I've been slogging my way through it. I've recieved a lot of tips by lurkingg in this forum and reading the walkthroughs. My thanks.
But there are certain things in my current scenario that are killing me, so I need to ask for advice. I'm currently in Thinis.
The Gold Mines- I put the palace as close as I could to the mines and added the adequate housing and services. At first things went well, but a quick plague later and no one was working in the palace. Even after the houses were full with new tenants NO ONE is working there. Right clicking on the palace syas no workers live nearby, but thats not gtrue! Theres a whole freakin' city right next to the palace! This of course meant that the gold cartpushers just stood there like idiots. Unemployment was at 7% but I guess that 7% didn't want to work in the city palace.
Civil War- I just thought I'd ask, but there seems to be absolutely no way to keep all of the trade routes open in this scenario, is there? If you accept gifts/give anything to either side trade royutes close up.
Nubian Warriors- What, are these guys all track stars? They seem to move twice as fast as my guys. I've heard other people say this before, but archers really are weak!! Academy trained archers! The nubian archers killed two of my archers for every one of theirs!
Well, those are my most glaring problems in the scenario. Actually, Money is the most glaring. I don't think the gold mines (you can't build a lot of them in Thinis) will keep me out of debt even if the palace was manned. But my big problem with debens is mostly due to my overspending. I think I can keep that under control, and maybe work things out. Thanks for any advice!
