Hi hunnic paladin,
Are you aware that Julius is available on MacOS?

I normally play to a victory screen and in Julius and also Augustus, the rank displayed when you’re promoted is almost always incorrect (it’s usually clerk). I wonder if this can be fixed.
The minimap preview for loading cities looks good in the latest Augustus build. Will this be implemented in Julius as well?

Pecunia, hi
My completed cities in the downloads are saved before promotion. They’re custom missions, and most of them display promoted to “Clerk”, or another rank which is not one higher than the one set by the designer. If I recall correctly, I’ve only had one instance so far when it was displayed correctly in a custom mission on Julius.
The “promoted to” rank is correct when city is loaded on vanilla version.

@Pecunia: Thanks also for the quick response, and an even quicker fix!
@Augustus team: If I may be allowed to indulge, I have a few items on my wishlist.
First off though, I’d like to comment on the new verdant and sunlit hedge garden gates which look gorgeous btw, and also, it was a surprise seeing the small pyramid option to the mausoleum.
Now on to the list…
I like the alternating patterns of plaza tiles, and would sometimes use plazas and paved roads in sequence on non-residential parts of a city. With the addition of the 5 extra tile designs, there are now no more patterns on any straight road or rectangular block. Is it possible to add a rotating function to plazas so you could cycle through the tiles like you do with roadblocks? This is just so a player could have the option of uniform tile placements in certain parts of a city.
Next item is a request for a redesign of the arena. I don’t have a problem with the color scheme or the base of the building, but the uneven curve on the top tier just doesn’t look right to me. All the other new structures from supply posts to taverns to larariums all have straight lines and rounded curves which look natural in the Caesar 3 landscape. It’s only the arena which seems out of place.
Also, with it being a structure between an amphitheater and a colosseum, I was hoping for it to have a bigger footprint than the 3x3 amphitheater. I think it would add more variety to a housing block to have a 4x4 building thrown into the mix.
One last thing on the wishlist is a bigger lighthouse. The 3x3 footprint still seems a bit small for something that’s meant to be an imposing structure. It can get lost on a busy city when there are other structures built beside or around it. I think even a slight upgrade to 4x4 building would make it stand out more.

There's a new version of Augustus (3.2.0) available for download. Just follow the link in the first post.

Just noticed in the CCK menu of Augustus 3.2.0 (and also the latest build) that all maps of different sizes are listed as Enormous provinces.

I noticed this too and have since fixed it.
