It seems like generally one granary (per food type) at an optimal distance from food sources, along with lots of markets, is better than having "getting" granaries.
The cart pushers go farther when the first granary is full, which causes extra inefficiency compared to a pusher waiting for an empty spot in the close granary. The getting pushers seem to also be able to carry 800, same as the market buyers, but need only 5 employees instead of 6.
I must be missing something or getting granaries have a very niche usage?
