Im going to start by saying yes, I know how to play this game. I have roads to everything, I have more then enough houses in walking distance. All my buildings are placed with extreme short routes in mind. I would say I have the perfect format for building a city...
On any other game I would have about 3/1 workshop/resource and for as long as I can remember it works pretty well. I came back to build a colossal like never before. At this moment I have a population of 15k and if I had all the pottery and furniture it might double...
One thing I changed was instead of having one dock I had three then five by the end. I had enough space for every ship as soon as it arrived and I was hard pressed to produce enough Pottery and Furniture to do everything. In the past I would always have one primary warehouse that just overflows and I would call it a success. Now I cant keep it in here long at all. xD
I thought it was just that one change. But then I realized the majority of my workshops werent getting resources. So I went from 3/1 to about 1/1 and still, no work is getting done. So I watched a clay pit closely. It would get to 100%, the cart pusher would appear, and in a flash he disappears. It doesnt matter how many pits I make, the clay disappears the moment it hits the street...
So, with all this said... Did I break the game by making my city too large? I mean this is a massive city, housing districts, that are extremely refined and efficient, literally spanning from one end of the map to the other. Its a bunch of rectangles side by side and all the resources are literally across the street. Everything is right next to each other highly efficient. My unemployment is like 3-4% with 15k. I should be producing the shit out of everything...
Do I just have too many buildings and the game cant handle that many walkers? Did I hit the game limit? Are there mods or config fixes to get around this?
