Help ! An ally requests Wheat & I keep refusing: 1. Can I bribe them with Drachmas to regain their trade ties. 2. If I send them meat instead (since they mentioned famine), is this okay ? I use the Cheat Engine tables to eliminate fires, food shortages, population for workers, plague, et. al. & another for infinite funds but this is one annoying thing that's beyond my control —especially since I need marble from it ! Now my Hermes sanctuary construction is stalled. I need to re-trade with them badly... Any help would be appreciated thanks !
Also, Cerberus is on my land, & I need Hercules, who in turn needs a Hippodrome, I tried making one but I read it needs to be connected in a loop. :'( How do I go about it ? Money is not a problem BTW.

maybe, depends how pissed you made them

No

I chuckle;
Perhaps learn the game, without Cheat Engine, from the tutorial episodes. Try reading the PDF for info.

Thanks ! I used to be good at this game, but now I just can't do without the cheats —I use a laptop now, & lost touch with the game. But I can complete the adventures (esp. The military ones), quite easily on my own. Forgotten so much !

Ha-ha ! I bribed them with 4 sheaves of wheat each, & built a Hippodrome, & re-gained trade relations with them !! Gifting them 2500 Drachmas did diddly-squat ! This game is so easy & _fun_ with the trainer options ! I could make a perfect city, but I don't have the time & effort. I once designed my masterpiece on paper, I still play mostly by those ideas... Oh did I mention I just slayed Cerebrus by meeting the demands of Hercules Hall (it was crazy —harder than any sanctuary !) ? Now I've got the whole land to myself, & playing like in Sandbox B) 32 Amphorae of wine -sheesh-

I haven't played the game in 2 years, so I can only recall from memory. But if an ally suspends trade, you have no choice but to wait until a message appears that they will resume trade. Iirc, this takes about a year.

But on the bright side, when trade suspensions occur among allies, they mostly revert their opinions of you to "sympathetic" (unless you pissed them THIS BADLY), meaning their relations to you will be enough for you to request something you from them - at most, once. But you can gift things they need to maintain that opinion.

But if you get the "insubordinate" opinion from them when you look at their city in the world map prior to trade suspension, then there's nothing you can do to improve relations and prevent trade suspension. The only way to revert it is if you see this opinion very early and send a gift they need - asap, and even this is unlikely. It's the same thing with "hostile" rival cities iirc, where they will send unscripted attacks when this occurs.
Help ! An ally requests Wheat & I keep refusing: 1. Can I bribe them with Drachmas to regain their trade ties. 2. If I send them meat instead (since they mentioned famine), is this okay ?
I'm afraid not. Meat has a very low value (45 drachma, iirc) and so you won't be able to improve relations much, even if they sorely need it. If you send something that either:

1). Has a very high monetary value like sculpture and armor
2). is a good they need (look at their buy stats in the world map), this will suffice to improve relations.
3). Just sending 2500 drachmas would solve most problems.

A word of note, however: Don't send food, even if they need it. You're better off giving olive oil or even wood to cities that don't need it, rather than giving food to cities that need it. It's monetary value makes the good not worth sending, even if its value is doubled by cities that need it. But if you play at beginner level, sending gifts will yield greater improvement to relations, even with low-value goods like meat but it still won't be much.

Also, look at my earlier paragraphs regarding trade suspensions. In summary, there's nothing you can do to get trade ties back, except to wait around a year until they trade again. But you can request goods from them.
Also, Cerberus is on my land, & I need Hercules, who in turn needs a Hippodrome, I tried making one but I read it needs to be connected in a loop. :'( How do I go about it ? Money is not a problem BTW.
Ensure the hippodrome roads start and end at the starting position. This stage is pretty simple. The next stage is for you to build a horse ranch so they can obtain horses. For horses, you need wheat and so you either need to make it, or import it if there's any city that has it in the world.

But since you've sent 4 sheaves of wheat to a city, I guess you can produce it in your home city, so just setting a storehouse and order it to get wheat from a distant granary will normally be enough.

Thank you ! That was very helpful ! & yeah I built a Hippodrome, slayed Cerberus, & also 4 sheaves of wheat re-gained their trade ties ! Awesome game, I'am hooked on it. So sad you can only build 4 sanctuaries, I missed Dionysus (free Grapevine !!) —perhaps the Cheat Engine table might allow me to build a 5th.
