I'm going to the bay area for work next week. The exciting part is that I am taking an extra day and going hiking with a friend at Point Reyes National Seashore. Should be nice, it's a beautiful place and you can find remote areas with beautiful ocean views without having to do any overnight hiking. Should be really interesting.

While I am in the area, I am going to introduce my friend to Pharoah and see if I can get him to buy it. He has heard me talk about it before, but he has never seen it, so I am going to show him some of mine cities and let him try it on my laptop. Hopefully, I will have a new addict soon!

What a nice trip

Years ago I lived in San Francisco.. on Fillmore, just up from Union. I could see the Golden Gate Bridge from my apartment.

Say "Hi" to the city for me

Gustavia, I will make sure to say Hi for you. San Franciso is a nice city. When we lived in Davis I think we were in the bay area at least once a month. I haven't been up there in a few years, though, so it will be nice to be back. I've been at Fillmore and Union before. It must have been neat to live there with that great view. I am jealous.

It is really nice by the ocean in San Francisco. Nice and COOL. Most days in the 70's with a nice cool fog. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. (wistful sigh). It is so hot here....

Have Fun Memsurs

My uncle lives in Davis!

What a small world eh?

Enjoy your trip. I've been to Cali a lot, but not San Fran.

ZigZac, have you ever been to Davis? It is really a wonderful little town. It has the best farmer's market that I have ever been to, and you can ride you bike through the whole town and not have to cross a street!

I am looking forward to the cooler temps, even though I will be spending most of my time in the San Jose area. It hit 100 here in Southern California today! AAACK! If only I had air conditioning at home.

Yeah, I have been to Davis.

Its a really nice town. Not too hot, and not too humid either. I was there during the county fair. The Yolo County Fair was a ton of fun.

Its been rather hot here lately. But it usually gets cloudy in the evening and it cools to about 75(perfect).

Again, Enjoy. Everyone I know that's been there loves it.

I had an uncle(a few generations back) that was in Alkatraz and escaped. You should go there too.

Anyone looking for incredible food in San Francisco should really visit Kan Zaman, a Middle Eastern restaurant at 1793 Haight St. (near Shrader). My husband and I ate there with my sister and her husband. It's better at night but very, very busy. Reservations are pretty much necessary. When you call, ask for a window seat. Those are the ones where you sit on pillows at a low table.

Attractions include belly dancers and hookahs, which remind me of Alice's caterpillar.

Memsurs, I guess you're here even as I write this. Funny, I haven't been to the Pharaoh forum for a while, just happened to look in today.
Unfortunately our "summer" is starting late this year. Still quite foggy and chilly; usually by late August even the coast is sunny. But then I live in the Sunset district, which (ironically) is the foggiest in the city.
Point Reyes is beautiful. Hope you're enjoying it!
