I've developed a scenario based in Knossos, so have developed an island map of Crete (sort of).

I seem to be having trouble adding the entry and exit points for immigrants - is this because it's an island?

If so, has anyone got a solution I can try?

Or, if being an island isn't a problem, has anyone any suggestions as to why I may be having problems placing them?

Thank you.

I think that entry and exit points must be along the map edge. You could place a bit of the island along the map edge or could have a bit of mainland (which might only have room for a ferry terminal).

Thanks Brugle. That worked perfectly.

Rather strangely, I've just discovered upon trying to test play it that I don't have any means of fishing, farming, or gathering raw materials.

I can't figure out what setting I must have got wrong. In buildings allowed none of them are listed (but I can't remember whether they usually are) - irrigation ditch and work camp are there though. And, where you set up trade I've listed products that rely on farming and fishing. What have I missed? :\

(I set up a simple mission at the weekend .. this one was supposed to be more complicated by events, so I'm baffled by this problem).

You need to set up the food and raw materials that your city can produce. Read the Mission Editor Guide (a .txt file should be on the disk in the Pharaoh folder), including the paragraph that starts "Player's City" and the following paragraph.

Found the problem! I'd not set 'our city' as our city. I'd left it as an Egyptian city. Duh! Thanks for your help
