June 3rd - A correction in the players List...

We owe an apology to Governor Cornelius from the USA; whom we have inadvertedly taken away three points from his total score, which places him in the same position with elizrs from Australia... We have also taken out the players' names who have not achieved any points in the Olympics. This has not happened to the countries list...

On the other hand, a few pages have been taken out of the site (others will follow), and even the Olympic forum has been renamed in the Heaven. Until another games are not a real, certain thing this page will simply be honoring the winners of the first games...

Rules...??? Who wants the Rules...???

June 2nd - A stormless afternoon...

Yes, that's what it is. And here we simply want to let you all know that during this week we will be bringing the necessary changes to this page.

Also - we want to congratulate once more to all the players, specially the ones who earned their free Pharaoh (for when it is released); by achieving exceptional results in these Olympic Games...!!!

A free Pharaoh...!!! Coool...!!!

May 26th - The Games are over...

It's almost a bit melancholic, how this sounds, but that's the reality. The Games are over...!!!
We want to congratulate to all the winners and participants of these Olympics, and thank you for your support and playing. We had a little problem accessing the site these days, and we decided to take a break until the 2nd of June, so please - please come back to us on that day...! In order to retake this; we'll organize a little party-page, honoring the winners (in ancient times it took them a month or so to get back to their proud villages) and to restart the site, with energy and joy.
Also, we'll concentrate on what's coming for the rest of the year, and as usually we'll try to make your leisure time as enjoyable as possible. Meantime, get back to your wives, families, friends and real lives for a few days. After all, we don't want them to be left aside... lol...
Special congratulations to MartyParty and elizrs from Australia, Emperor Tomek from Hungary, Zack Caophil from Austria, Baltic from the Czech Republic, Mark Qian from China and Governor Cornelius from the USA. Also to the all the other players...!!!

May 21st - The real spirit...

What was actually the real spirit of the Olympics, back in the seventh century before the birth of Christ...? Who made them, and what was the purpose of such games; specially if even wars and traders had to stop during its duration...??? Was it pure competition? A will to surpass each other, and show to the "Hellenic" world where the best kids were raised...?

We all know that they were dedicated to the gods of the Greek mitology, but what was behind all that...? A political sign of prestige...? A clever move towards domination...? A simple wish to excel...? Or were the Greeks determined to show the rest of the world, that the Olympic Games could only be made by them, as a superior nation in the time...???

Well, if you want to participate on this debate, head over here, and express your opinion...

Is there a father of the ancient Greek Olympics...???.
